Air Travel
Air travel is one of the most convenient ways to reach Central Oregon. Roberts Field-Redmond Airport (RDM) provides the City of Bend and the surrounding communities with convenient, non-stop commercial air service to and from many major U.S. cities including: Denver; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Phoenix; Portland; Salt Lake City; San Francisco, and Seattle.
Air service carriers serving RDM are Horizon/Alaska Airlines; United Express; Delta Connection and Allegiant Air.
Two general aviation airports also serve business charter and private pilots: the Bend Municipal Airport, Bend and Sunriver Airport at Sunriver.
Three hours north of the region, The Portland International Airport (PDX) offers additional flight service, serving over 120 cities worldwide.

Portland International Airport is about 3 ½ hours driving time from Bend and a 40 minute flight time. Portland International Airport is served by Air Canada Jazz, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Horizon Air, JetBlue Airways, Lufthansa, Mexicana, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United

United & United Express (operated by SkyWest Airlines)
Providing daily direct non-stop service to and from Portland and San Francisco and daily service to and from Denver between June 4 and December 1, 2009. Also, United Express provides daily non-stop JET SERVICE on its Redmond-San Francisco flight. You can now fly between San Francisco, CA and Redmond, OR in just 1 hour and 20 minutes. Both flights are operated by SkyWest Airlines, which flies as United Express.
