Cork & Barrel

An Annual Benefit for Kids Center
Broken Top Club, Bend, OR 97703

description

Cork & Barrel is an annual wine and food event series featuring a different wine region each year in Bend, Oregon. Wineries are paired with local and visiting chefs to create a tasting experience like no other in Central Oregon. This year Cork & Barrel will be held July 14 – 15, 2016 at Broken Top Club and is proud to feature the winemakers of Santa Barbara County.

On Friday and Saturday, Cork & Barrel guests gather under sunny skies at Broken Top Club for an afternoon of top flight wine and food pairings.  Saturday includes a five course gourmet dinner, paired with a choice of hand-selected Santa Barbara area wines, or craft beers. Additionally, guests will enjoy a varied silent auction and thrilling live auction including wines from all over the world, exclusive travel experiences, unique dining opportunities and much more.

Included in the Cork & Barrel event are a number of local and regional guest chefs.  The role of our guest chefs is to partner with wineries for exclusive winemaker dinners on the Thursday before the main event, and to provide small plates to pair with tasting wines during the reception portion of the Friday event.

A tightly limited number of more intimate winemakers’ dinners with our visiting wineries are held throughout Bend on Thursday, July 14, 2016.

All proceeds from Cork & Barrel benefit KIDS Center’s direct services for children and families impacted by child abuse. KIDS Center is a non-profit child abuse intervention center dedicated to the prevention, evaluation and treatment of child abuse. Services include a head-to-toe medical exam, child friendly forensic interview, child & family therapy and family support services. These services are provided for more than 1,000 children, youth and families each year. KIDS Center is also a leader in child abuse prevention training and education providing the nationally acclaimed Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children training for adults throughout the region.
