Worthy Brewing is a favorite among locals and visiting guests for a taste of Central Oregon. Worthy offers a delicious menu selection of beer and dining menu featuring local fresh ingredients and friendly service. The Beer Garden is a highlight – come and sit under the lights under the stars, relax and enjoy.
What started out as a tasting room evolved into a pizzeria that is now aching to bust out as a farm-fresh full-service “foodtopia”. They say big things come in small packages. So true. The volume and succulence of the dishes generated from our WW2 submarine-sized galley continues to amaze and impress. Every day we get up with the proverbial fire in the belly to deliver artisan pizzas, sandwiches, salads and entrees that leave traditional notions of “pub food” in the dust. Our goal is nothing less than “Worthy fare,” a cuisine that titillates and delights at the same time it’s doing the body good.
How does Worthy Brewing convert snowmelt, hops, yeast and barley into the world’s happiest beverage?
Here’s how Worthy does it. Eleven vital steps.
Back in the old days, brewers would toss in a few buckets of bittering hops at the front end of the boil and another batch of aroma hops in the last few minutes. Things have changed. At Worthy, we are always looking for more opportunities to suffuse our wort and beer with the world’s finest bittering and aroma hops.
We prefer to use Indie Hops’ “patiently pelleted” big, fat and juicy Type 90 pellets. Research at Oregon State has confirmed that brewers can extract greater volumes of precious oils during dry hopping from properly designed pellets over cones. We do use whole cones in our hopback. Best of both hop worlds.
