7 Bikes for 7 Wonders Campaign Begins

Cycling is a part of what makes Oregon Oregon. Central Oregon alone has more than 300 miles of mountain bike singletrack and is home to five of the state’s 12 official Scenic Bikeways. But along with the masses who love riding, there’s a growing number of artisans across the state who are perfecting the craft of building bikes.

And this summer, Travel Oregon and the Central Oregon Visitors Association are celebrating those artists and Oregon’s cycling culture with the 7 Bikes for 7 Wonders contest. It’ll be your chance to find, own and ride a custom, hand-built bike stashed somewhere within the 7 Wonders of Oregon, including Smith Rock State Park here in Central Oregon.

Stay tuned to and our Twitter and Instagram feed in the coming weeks for more information on the Smith Rock bicycle, the builder and, more importantly, clues on exactly when and where you can start looking for the bike. (Clue No. 1: The Smith Rock Bike will be hidden the week of June 22nd.)
