One of the most favorite ever Christmas movies, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, is playing at The Tower Theater on Nov. 29th.  Holiday laughs. Seasonal sentiments. Costume contests. Adult beverages.  Have fun and support a great cause…..This event is a collaboration with the Bend Radio Group benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Bend.

Jingle Bell Run @ Crow's Feet Commons

The Jingle Bell Run is The Arthritis Foundation’s holiday-themed 5K race. It is the nation’s longest-running fundraising fun run. Be there with bells on – and jingle and jangle to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s #1 cause of disability, affecting 1 in 4 American adults.
Put on your reindeer antlers, Santa suit, or elf running shoes – and bring your friends and family for a fun-filled day of holiday cheer. Whether you walk or run, your participation and support helps raise funds for arthritis research and resources, touching the lives of more than 54 million Americans. After the run, stay for the Bend Holiday Parade in downtown Bend.

Enjoy an Enchanted Forest evening of dinner and dancing to The Substitutes in the beautiful Great Hall in Sunriver.   Sunriver Women’s Club presents their 2019 Winter Gala Fundraiser.  All net proceeds support nonprofit agencies in Deschutes County.  In addition to dinner and dancing, you will enjoy fabulous Live & Silent auctions, raffles and more!

The classic holiday movie ELF will be playing a The Tower Theater on Dec. 13th.  In addition to the Holiday laughs and  Seasonal sentiments there will be Costume contests and Adult beverages.

Annual Crab Feed

It’s BACK!!!  La Pine Frontier Days 18th Annual Crab Feed takes place on March 14th at the La Pine Community Center on First St.  This is an All-You-Can-Eat affair with Caesar Salad, French Bread, Beer, Wine, Soda and of course CRAB..  This crab is absolutely the freshest!  It’s delivered direct from Pacific Seafood’s crab facility in Newport, OR.

Only 800 tickets will be sold – no tickets sold at door so hurry and get your tickets from the La Pine Frontier Days office or the La Pine Chamber of Commerce or Ace Hardware in La Pine.  You can also call 541 536 7821. Tickets must be purchased before March 9, 2020.

Central Oregon’s 8th NEWBERRY EVENT Music & Arts Festival / Charity to Defeat MS! is an OUTDOOR ticketed 3-day festival well-known as a great time for a good cause. It’s a fun summer getaway, with multi-genre live music 10am to 10pm, July 24, 25, 26, 2020, with FREE Tent CAMPING, and RV sites available. Bands who have headlined or lead-ins have been: Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real (Willie Nelson’s son; now a rising star.) 2019 headlined Tal Wilkenfeld, an award winning Australian born bass and guitar phenom who has performed alongside Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Mick Jagger. The legendary East Coast Indie funk jam band, Lettuce headlined 2018. Many others are Brooklyn based Pimps of Joytime (video), Petty Thievery Petty tribute band, Western music and comedy group Riders In the Sky, Craig Chaquico of Jefferson Starship, American folk legends Brewer & Shipley, Roses Pawn Shop, Montana’s Dodgy Mountain Men, Euforquestra, FISHBONE, Andy Frasco & the UN, The Riverside bluegrass, and Portland’s Pigs on the Wing Pink Floyd Tribute band, and many more. The variety is wholesome and refreshing!

With over 20 bands on two rotating stages, the rural acreage, lawns, shady aspens & pines of So. Deschutes County create an unforgettable outdoor venue. La Pine and Sunriver come together as “Newberry Country” at the foot of Newberry National Volcanic Monument, a recreation paradise. With many vendors – great food (breakfasts too), Sunriver Brewing Co.beers, Kombucha, ciders, CBD drinks and distillery vendors, you’ll find everything you need for the day or weekend. You’ll also enjoy dancers, homemade arts & crafts, and a silent auction plus raffles of incredible art and merchandise. With attendance less than 500, this ticketed fundraising festival feels like your friends’ private party.

Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological and autoimmune disease that can keep people from moving. Come rock out and dance for those who can’t.
