Already known as one of the best spots in the world for mountain biking, cyclists in Central Oregon are now hopping aboard something new in the winter to help keep the season alive: Fat Bikes.

These “super sized” bikes are becoming more and more popular across the country, and as this Oregonian story points out: Bend’s helping pave the way to some really fat tire fun.

(Several local bike shops, including Hutch’s, Pine Mountain Sports and The Hub Cyclery now rent fat bikes.)
