Tradie is the indie rock project of maintenance worker Hitch Bradley. Hitch has their roots in the midwest indie rock scene, playing with the people who became Liquid Mike and Charmer. This is their second band since moving to the PNW in 2018. The first one, Cape Chacon, played in Portland with local acts like Phone Voice and New Here, but also got to play in Seattle a few times with Coach Phillips, Izumi, and Porch Cat.
Tradie is just getting started, playing with local bands Hell Nancy, Myriads, Bory, Phone Voice, and opening for touring acts like Teens in Trouble. They're putting out an album on June 7th, which was produced by P.A. Holmes of Trainspotter Studios.
Tradie writes songs for all the workers who write poems on their lunch break and need a hug when they get home. Their upcoming album, But If I Try, is a collection of songs about personal growth that ranges from happy swoony in love "Nightlight" to brooding angry reminiscent "I Know You're the One." Tradie performs loud and emotional, with accompanying visuals made by Hitch whenever the venue allows for it.
