Welcome to Bayberry Lane! We are a charming little furniture and home decor shop in the heart of downtown Prineville. Ed made his first clock as a wood shop assignment in high school. That kicked off his career in clock repair to earn extra money while he served in the Air Force. Kathi came into his life about this time and they married. So Kathi came alongside Ed to make and repair clocks. After passing through Sisters countless times on their way to Smith Rock, Ed and Kathi moved to Sisters and set up shop in 1978 .
Sisters was still a small, sleepy town with only a handful of buildings on Hood Avenue. But Ed’s creations drew the discerning collector, and Kathi’s tea and clock repair shop drew the masses seeking out fine teas and quality clock repair. Over the next 40+ years the Beacham’s would cement themselves as a town favorite for visitors. They also made themselves indispensable in the community as Ed served as Pastor at the Chapel in the Pines in nearby Camp Sherman and Chaplain/Paramedic in the Sisters fire department.
Today the Beacham’s welcome craftsmen and professionals to share ownership of the reputation they have built to better serve the horological community and support several families with the business they have built.
Visit Beacham’s Clock Company to learn the full history. Each clock has its own unique story!

Nowhere epitomizes Bend’s transformation from a sleepy lumber town to a world-class travel destination like the Old Mill District.
Once home to two of the largest ponderosa pine sawmill operations on the plant, the Old Mill District now boasts more than 55 restaurants, shops, art galleries and boutique fitness studios nestled alongside the Deschutes River. Paved running and bike paths hug both sides of the river – the trails are part of the larger Deschutes River Trail network – making the area popular with both visitors and locals alike.
While shopping and dining options anchor the Old Mill District on the east side of the Deschutes – the area has an eclectic mix of local, regional and national retail shops – the west side of the river is highlighted by the scenic Les Schwab Amphitheater. The state’s largest outdoor concert venue, the LSA plays host to more than a dozen shows each summer, drawing acts as large as Paul Simon, Jack Johnson and the Dave Matthews Band and as diverse as The Roots, the Avett Brothers and Tenacious D. Approximately 8,000 fans can fit into the amphitheater, which features an all-grass infield and spectacular views of the Cascade Range to the west.
Runners and cyclists aren’t the only outdoor enthusiasts to take advantage of the Old Mill District’s charms. A small armada of floaters, kayakers and canoers can usually be found on the Deschutes during the summer and fall months as they make their way down to the new Bend Whitewater Park.
History buffs can take pleasure in the various buildings and former sawmill equipment the Old Mill District has restored and upcycled. Eleven original buildings still sit within the district, including the mill’s former powerhouse and its three iconic smokestacks. Additionally, interpretive panels throughout the district mark areas of significant historical importance.
With its location right in the heart of Bend, the Old Mill District also holds numerous community events throughout the year. The Bend Brewfest is scheduled for the third weekend of August every summer in the Les Schwab Amphitheater, OSU-Cascades holds its graduation at the Amphitheater every June, and Santa flies into the Old Mill District the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Open Range started as a small shop in Sisters, Oregon. It was a place of inspiration where owner and designer Denelle Martin could create, build, and sell her art. Soon it grew into two more store locations in Bend and Redmond and a larger manufacturing studio. Her line has grown from 47 pieces to over 500 in five short years and she is nothing less than humbled.
Open Range art goes beyond rustic home decor. Our creations vary from unique yard art and landscape art to custom metal signs and rustic metal wall art. We create beautiful decorative columns, rustic shelves, one-of-a-kind home decor, and metal panels used for fencing, decoration, or for privacy. Open Range crafts charming creations that will transform any home into a work of art.
We design, manufacture, and sell beautiful interior and exterior metal art in different colors and finishes at our Redmond, Oregon facility, with additional retail store locations in Bend and Sisters. We are proud of our craft, and we think you will love it too.

Tumalo Lavender, located in the golden triangle just outside Bend, is home to 10,000 beautiful lavender plants with colors ranging from white to purple to pink. Owners, Gordon and Judy Knight, planted the first 1,000 test plants in 2006. Twenty different varieties now bloom profusely in the summer months with harvest beginning in mid September.
Angustfolia and X-intermedia lavender oil and hydrosol are distilled at the farm, which coincides with harvest of the lavender buds. We provide specialty propagation and year around field consultation. To date we have helped create and expand multiple lavender farms across the county. Fresh cut lavender can be enjoyed in the summer.
Our Vintage Market Place shop offers handcrafted lavender soaps, luscious lavender lotions, gourmet lavender infused jelly and honey as well as handcrafted neck paks, eye pillows and wonderful cake and scone mixes.
Tumalo Lavender pleasant scents can put you in a peaceful state of mind. The calming, fresh, unique fragrance of lavender is available in potpourris, buds, oils, handmade soap, lotions, lip balm, and hydro-mists and wreaths, all made at the farm and available in our marketplace.
Our wonderful dried lavender buds perfect for crafting, wedding favors or making your own potpourri and sachets. Provence and several English lavenders are also available for culinary use. Tumalo Lavender produces & distills the highest quality lavender essential oils. The oils are extracted by steam distillation at the farm. These highly concentrated and fragrant oils are aged for quality and are recognized, among other things, as being a natural antiseptic, insect repellent, as a help with migraines and to aid in relaxation.
Capture the aromatherapy benefits of a lavender mist created with essential oils. For cosmetic, industrial and personal ingredients of all kinds such as body spray, room mist, linen spray…wherever you need the fresh, delicately scented fragrance of lavender. You can order these and other products on-line. Credit Cards are accepted. We gladly ship UPS and FedEx.
Tour Tumalo Lavender: Gordon and Judy invite you to visit their greenhouse and view the fields of lavender. They offer 3” border plants or 1 gallon lavender plants for your garden. You will find lavender not only beautiful and sensory, but a practical choice for your garden. Lavender has a reputation for being notoriously non-palatable to deer. It is also considered a drought-tolerant plant and is easy to grow and manage.
The lavender is in full flower in mid-July and is at its peak for viewing and cutting. You can wander through the vibrant purple fields and take in the strong, sweet fragrance of lavender as you hand-cut your own bouquet.
This year, make a point of enjoying some relaxed time at Tumalo Lavender.
CONSULTING – Let Gordon help plot your future lavender field or area. We can give you ideas on soil preparation, irrigation expertise, weed mat installation and lavender plant suggestion. Call 541-419-9449 for specifics based on size of job.

Paula Horn and Charla Hanson are the owners of Wild Poppy Florist in Sunriver, Oregon. They are designers, business partners and friends. They love the way beautifully arranged flowers make people smile. They are creative, combining unique materials, textures, layers and colors for memorable floral designs for weddings, birthdays, sympathy and special occasions.
Beauty is the cornerstone of Wild Poppy Florist — and of Paula’s and Charla’s careers. Charla began her floral career at the age of 16 with her mother in San Luis Obispo where they used the deep blue ocean, rolling hills, and vineyards as backdrops for their design. She’s been active in the floral design business ever since, both in Central Oregon and in Teton Valley, Idaho. Charla’s floral designs were featured in the 2003 Martha Stewart Weddings magazine and she designed the floral arrangements for President George W. Bush during his stay in Crosswater in 2003.
Paula planned family and friends’ weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and other special events for more than 20 years and is now bringing that experience to clients of Wild Poppy Florist. She has worked at Sunriver Resort’s banquet department, in the fashion and retail industry, and as a personal Pilates and fitness trainer.
Both Paula and Charla are long-time residents of Central Oregon. The beauty of the region and the richness of the seasons are inspirations for their floral designs. They believe flowers should reflect their clients’ personality, spirit, and individuality. They work closely with their clients to create the true essence of their special day and special wishes. They translate feelings — love, admiration, happiness, comfort and joy — into stunning floral designs.
Each wedding, birthday or corporate event creates a new and lasting memory for Paula and Charla. Their clients become their friends. Each event becomes a special moment. They would be privileged to work with you to make your special day beautiful and unforgettable.
