Truly a great family experience for all ages. Tickets available at the Pavilion through Alpine Entertainment – Sunriver Village Fun

Power Jump:  Get ready to pull some G’s with a thrilling experience on the Power Jump at The Village at Sunriver. You’ll be harnessed, locked in and then shot vertically into the sky! When you hit the max height, get ready again because you’ll fall back down … and then slingshot up again. It’s absolutely exhilarating!   Engineered for your safety, you’ll experience a ride unlike any other. After you’re initial reverse bungee, you’ll bounce and dangle above the ground until you are gently placed back on the safety air bag where you started.

Featuring sandy beaches, swimming, boating, lakefront cabins and old growth pines, Cultus Lake has long been a summer seasonal favorite for fishing enthusiasts and campers alike. Formed by a glacier, these pristine mountain waters created a wonderful sanctuary for wildlife. In the early 19th Century, Cultus Lake was a highly sought destination for early explorers seeking to expand their trade in the fur trade industry. Today, it is home to rainbow trout, mackinaw and brook trout where patient anglers test their luck on shore or by boat, then trade stories by campfire light. Shaved ice truck for parties, special events

We’re mobile. We’re fun. We’re stocked with the most delicious flavors you’ve ever tasted.  Need a moment of pre bliss? Kona Ice has you covered.  Come visit us. Let our sweet tunes sweep you away to an island in the middle of the ocean and while you’re there, kick up your feet and enjoy a nice cup of our premium shaved ice.

How do we book you?  Glad you asked! Our Find a Kona feature allows you to search your zip code to find the Kona truck that’s closest to you.  Getting in contact with them will allow you to book your event or inquire about any pricing or information you may need to know.  Go ahead, call.  We promise they don’t bite.  Find your local Kona Ice truck at www.kona-ice.com

Are you an ice cream truck? Well, it depends on what you call an ice cream truck. Some of our trucks do sell ice cream, but we like to think we’re more than just your average, run of the mill, ice cream truck. Unlike an ice cream truck, Kona Ice is about more than just the product. We’re about the experience. Want to know more about if we are an ice cream truck?

What is shaved ice? The easy answer is it’s ice that is shaved. But I know you’re looking for more than that. So check out our shaved ice page. I bet you’ll discover all sorts of stuff you never knew you wanted to know! Want to know more about shaved ice?

Where did Kona Ice originate? Kona Ice was started in Northern Kentucky in 2007. Our boss thought, “Hey, people don’t sell shaved ice off of trucks. Also, ice cream trucks are creepy. What if we sold shaved ice off of a truck that was super fun and inviting?” And thus, Kona Ice was born. Okay, there’s more to the story than that.

The interpretive hub for the Newberry National Volcanic Monument located at the base of Lava Butte. The visitor center includes a bookstore, educational films, a 3D map of the area and rangers on hand ready and willing to talk to about the geological wonders of Lava Lands and the expansive monument.

Right outside the visitor center, enjoy a self-guided tour of the 7,000 year old lava flow formed by Lava Butte’s eruption. There’s informational plaques throughout, including one that highlights a unique piece of American history: Astronauts trained there in 1966 to prepare for the upcoming moon landings.

You can hike up to the top of the butte for some amazing views of the surrounding area, but be careful because there’s  no trail. You have to walk up the road, which, at times, can be congested.

Oregon's largest outdoor concert venue

Oregon’s largest outdoor concert venue shines along the Deschutes

Built in 2001 and named in honor of one of Central Oregon’s most successful entrepreneurs – you might have bought tires from one of his stores – the Les Schwab Amphitheater has quickly become one of the premiere venues in the Pacific Northwest to see live music.

Located in Bend’s historic Old Mill District, the LSA boasts an all-grass infield and scenic views of the Cascade Range along the Deschutes River. The largest outdoor concert venue in the state, the Amphitheater can hold approximately 8,000 concertgoers. The LSA has drawn living legends such as Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Willie Nelson as well as artists who are shaping the sounds of their own generation like Jack Johnson, the Avett Brothers, The Roots and Brandi Carlile.

Nestled right in the heart of Bend, the Amphitheater also plays host to numerous community events. The Bend Brewfest is held every year at the Amphitheater during the third weekend of August and the classic Pole Pedal Paddle race – individuals and teams ski, bike, paddle and run their way from the Mt. Bachelor Ski Area into Bend – finishes in its infield. And in partnership with the North Pole, the Les Schwab Amphitheater welcomes Santa the day after Thanksgiving, providing landing ground for his helicopter before he is whisked away to SantaLand in the Old Mill District.

Here’s the Les Schwab Amphitheater’s 2019 summer concert lineup:

  • Sunday, June 7: Jason Isbell + Father John Misty
  • Saturday, June 15: The Roots
  • Sunday, June 23: Rebelution with Collie Buddz, Durand Jones & The Indications, and DJ Mackle
  • Thursday, June 27: Michael Franti + Ziggy Marley
  • Saturday, June 29: Lyle Lovett and His Large Band
  • Friday, June 5: Trombone Shorty

Ouzel Outfitters has offered the finest whitewater rafting trips for families and charter groups since 1979. We offer 1/2- to three-day rafting adventures in Central Oregon on the McKenzie, Deschutes and North Umpqua Rivers. Transportation is included on all 1/2- and one-day McKenzie and Deschutes River trips.

We also offer three- to five-day vacation length wilderness trips on Oregon’s Wild & Scenic Rogue, Central Oregon’s John Day, Eastern Oregon’s Owyhee and Idaho’s Lower Salmon River. We are highly committed to the professionalism of our staff and to continually improving the organization, service and safety of our trips. We look forward to hosting you, your family and friends for a memorable rafting adventure.

Ouzel Guides Make all the Difference
Few river companies put as many resources into training, retraining and certification of their guide staff. Guides new to Ouzel must complete a competitive application and training process (regardless of their previous experience). Once training is complete, a long period of “apprenticeship” is required before being qualified to work. Returning guides are required to attend a 5-day training program where skills are refreshed, company standards re-iterated and new policies and procedures are introduced. Our guide staff are an extremely loyal and tight-knit group of professionals. With little turnover each year Ouzel maintains a high level of experience, tradition and teamwork. Our guides know our rivers, our trips and most importantly, our guests.

#1 Favorite Small Town Art Fair & Voted in Top 50 USA Art Fairs

Sunriver Art Fair is a three-day juried Art Fair takes place in the Village at Sunriver each August and features over 70 artist booths exhibiting art in 11 different mediums: ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, gourd art, woodwork, metalwork and mixed media.  The artists are coming from as far away as the east coast and right here in the Pacific Northwest.

While browsing the Sunriver Art Fair artist booths, attendees can also enjoy professional entertainment on the stage, including music in jazz, country, classic rock, swing and easy listening.  After grabbing dinner at one of the many local restaurants, join in the fun at the Saturday Night Street Dance – a great finish to a day of art and entertainment!

The Sunriver Art Fair is ranked as the #1 Favorite Small Town Art Fair and one of America’s Top 50 Best Art Fairs in 2016! The event is sponsored by the Sunriver Women’s Club with all net proceeds supporting nonprofits for arts, education and families in Central Oregon.

Sunriver Art Fair was voted as one of the Top Ten shows in the country.

This fall ArtFairCalendar.com conducted its 7th annual “Best Art Fair in America” survey and the Sunriver Art Fair was voted as one of the Top Ten shows in the country.

Sunriver Art Fair, Sunriver, OR – August 9-11, 2019
The Sunriver Art Fair is a year in the planning involving more than 140 volunteers of the Sunriver Women’s Club, held in the Village at Sunriver. “Consistently stunning array of fine art, price points are appropriate, and it’s located in a picturesque setting within the heart of Central Oregon, located in a high desert resort with beautiful views and wonderful family activities.” “Level of artist talent is high. High caliber event, well run, something for everyone!”

The America’s Best Art Fairs Awards are based on online voting by art fair patrons, collectors, organizers, and artists both regionally and nationally. It is the only national survey of art fairs and festivals designed to recognize achievement in art fair event production and promote the cultural importance of fine art events across America. Please visit www.artfaircalendar.com/art_fair/best-art-fairs.html for the complete list of America’s Best Art Fair Award winners for 2018.

Rests along the Deschutes River north of Bend

Nestled in the heart of sunny central Oregon, Tumalo State Park Bend, Oregon rests along Oregon’s spectacular Deschutes River. The campground is simultaneously close enough to the town of Bend to make an quick jaunt to the grocery store, but far enough away to escape the commotion. The location of Tumalo State Park makes it an ideal stepping stone for any type of outdoor activity you could possibly dream of: lush green golf courses, clear blue-ribbon trout steams, pristine alpine lakes, miles upon miles of challenging yet scenic hiking and mountain bike trails, and of course the Cascade Mountains are all within easy reach.

Winter recreation is just up the road at Mt. Bachelor where skiers and snowboarders can experience some of the best powder in the state. If you are not fond of the lifts, there are miles of groomed Nordic trails and tons of snowy back-country areas to explore.

At dawn or dusk try casting for rainbow trout as they sip at mayflies and caddisflies. Grab your raft and float with your feet dangling into the cool water during the heat of the summer. Take a hike and explore one of the river trails as they gently wind through canyons created by the untamed river.

Watch deer forage for food just as the sun creeps below the rim of the canyon. Listen as coyotes perform their haunting call, announcing the sunset and the coming darkness. Smell the sweet fragrance of sage and juniper as the dew drips off its branches. Sit quietly in the evening and let the stars put on a show of their own. All of this plus a quiet, quaint campground where your family can stay in a yurt, or camp in your own tent or RV at Tumalo State Park Campground
