Featuring sandy beaches, swimming, boating, lakefront cabins and old growth pines, Cultus Lake has long been a summer seasonal favorite for fishing enthusiasts and campers alike. Formed by a glacier, these pristine mountain waters created a wonderful sanctuary for wildlife. In the early 19th Century, Cultus Lake was a highly sought destination for early explorers seeking to expand their trade in the fur trade industry. Today, it is home to rainbow trout, mackinaw and brook trout where patient anglers test their luck on shore or by boat, then trade stories by campfire light. Cultus Lake is on the Cascade Scenic Byway and a short drive from Bend, Sunriver and LaPine, Oregon.

Oregon’s largest outdoor concert venue shines along the Deschutes
Built in 2001 and named in honor of one of Central Oregon’s most successful entrepreneurs – you might have bought tires from one of his stores – the Les Schwab Amphitheater has quickly become one of the premiere venues in the Pacific Northwest to see live music.

Nestled right in the heart of Bend, the Amphitheater also plays host to numerous community events. The Bend Brewfest is held every year at the Amphitheater during the third weekend of August and the classic Pole Pedal Paddle race – individuals and teams ski, bike, paddle and run their way from the Mt. Bachelor Ski Area into Bend – finishes in its infield. And in partnership with the North Pole, the Les Schwab Amphitheater welcomes Santa the day after Thanksgiving, providing landing ground for his helicopter before he is whisked away to SantaLand in the Old Mill District.

They will execute a seamless transition of the fine equestrian activities historically offered at the Sunriver Stables, including horseback trail rides, pony rides for young children, basic horsemanship kids camps and winter sleigh rides. Sunriver Resort would like to thank Jon and Jackie Russell for their years of partnership, and we are excited to welcome the Howell family and Sunriver Trail Rides LLC to our community.
Let’s Play At Sunriver ToyHouse
Have SHARC Recreation Plus Passes? It provides you with access to the new SROA Boat Launch to park your car and exit/enter the river – Plus, your gear gets FREE EQUIPMENT SHUTTLE SERVICE from the New SROA Marina in Sunriver back to Sunriver ToyHouse. This free shuttle service for your rented hard body items – kayaks, SUPs, canoes, etc. is provided as a courtesy to Sunriver Owners and their Renters in possession of a current SROA Recreation Plus Pass (or owner’s card). If you have inflatables, please deflate them and return them to Sunriver ToyHouse by 5p or between 9-10am the following morning.
No SHARC Passes? No Worries – you can still have lots of fun. Leave a car in the Resort’s main marina parking lot for a flat $15 parking/river exit fee. We can not pick equipment up there, so deflate inflatables for transport and tie down hard body items. If your vehicle can not transport kayaks or SUPs, then you will want to consider the Big River put-in to Harper Bridge take out. This is a really great 3 hour paddle (4.5 hour float).
Only have one car? Borrow a courtesy car to drop your car off at your takeout point. Problem Solved!
Floating Down The Deschutes River? ToyHouse has floating Lounge Chairs with cup holders at $11 for a 24 hour rental! All Rentals are from 9am to 9-10am. Single Float Tubes for $14, Double Tubes with a cooler and storage on board – $25. We also have Islands for 4, 5 or 6 adults with some children – complete with netting, back rests, cup holders.

Time for a Jet Ski Day? We have several jet skis with a trailer and stinger, ranging from $69 a day to $209 a day. We’ve got what you want and we’ve got what you need. Take a Floating Island to Cultis Lake for the day with your Jet Ski – the island works as a base for those waiting to ski.
Taking a Day at The Lake? Elk Lake Resort has music (and food service) every Saturday Night through the Summer. So you can spend the day at the lake and end your great day with music and dinner overlooking the lake. We have all sorts of water play toys for a fun day at one of the many lakes nearby. 12V pumps available for on-site inflation of inflatable toys.
