Owl’s Nest

Owl’s Nest has been a part of Sunriver Resort since opening in 1969 and remains a local favorite today. The airy lounge pairs its thoughtful pub grub—think wings, salads, burgers, and the like—with craft cocktails, local beer, and other refreshments. Enjoy it all next to the crackling fireplace or on the Owl’s Nest patio; both spots gaze out at Mount Bachelor to the west.

Lake House

The Lake House is based in Sunriver Resort’s Caldera Springs community, welcoming diners with creative takes on classic pub dishes. A few highlights include crab cakes served with butternut squash puree in winter, hearty bison burgers, and salads built around seasonal ingredients. The Lake House patio sits next to Obsidian Lake and affords views of Mount Bachelor.

The Grille at Crosswater

Italian- and French-inspired dishes are imbued with Pacific Northwest flavors at The Grille at Crosswater. Housed in a wood-paneled, lodge-style dining room, The Grille serves a short rib ravioli with seasonal mushrooms, roasted elk meatloaf, and other items that reflect a range of influences. For a fun starter, try The Grille’s cheeseburger egg rolls—stuffed with locally sourced ground beef and a housemade Worcestershire sauce.

Sunriver Village Restaurants

Beyond the resort, The Village at Sunriver is home to a number of boutique shops, local outfitters, and—of course—nearly a dozen locally owned eateries serving fare from around the world. Many offer a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, and take-out is typically available when you’re on the go. We couldn’t begin to list all the Sunriver Village restaurants, but here are a few local favorites to whet your appetite.

Sunriver Brewing Co.

Sunriver Brewing Co. opened its doors in 2012 and has since turned into a national powerhouse, winning numerous awards at some of the world’s most prestigious beer competitions. If you and the family are hungry, stop by the brewery’s bustling restaurant in the heart of the Village, which pairs filling pub grub and award-winning beers with spacious patio seating and a children’s play area.

Enjoy those beers from the source at The Taproom; the cozy bar at Sunriver’s production facility eschews food and focuses exclusively on the company’s wide variety of beers—all poured next to its brewing equipment.

Jimador Bar & Grill – New Owners for El Caporal Sunriver

Wash down a bowl of fresh chips and salsa with a cold margarita on the patio at the vibrant Jimador Bar & Grill. The family-friendly restaurant offers large portions of all your Mexican food favorites, including several varieties of enchiladas, burritos packed with flavorful ingredients, crispy chimichangas, and a number of steak and chicken dishes. Jimador makes an ideal stop after a trip to the pavilion next door, which in summer hosts an 18-hole mini golf course and, in winter, a beloved ice rink.

Cafe Sintra Sunriver

Ease your way into the day at Cafe Sintra Sunriver. The brunch and lunch spot serves a number of benedicts, scrambles, omelets, and more—many with a Portuguese-inspired twist. One scramble incorporates linguiça (a mildly spicy Portuguese sausage), for instance, and the French toast comes with a fresh-baked Portuguese sweet bread.

Hot Lava Bakery

Fuel up for a day of adventure with an appetizing array of light bites at Hot Lava Bakery, which has been a local staple since opening in 1973. Choose among all manner of baked goods (from doughnuts and cinnamon rolls to cookies and brownies), breakfast sandwiches, quiche, popular coffee and tea beverages, and a handful of fruit smoothies. Save room for the bakery’s Hot Lava Empanadas; each pastry is filled with a variety of sweet or savory ingredients—with popular fillings that include apples, dulce de leche, a cheese and beef mix, and tomatoes and basil.

Village Bar & Grill

Village Bar & Grill, a Sunriver favorite for more than 40 years, does pub food right. Meats are smoked in house, steelhead comes from the Columbia River, and the yellowfin poke bowl is made with wild-caught tuna and offers a lighter, yet no less flavorful option. Little ones love The Village Bar & Grill’s extensive kids’ menu.

Marcello’s Cucina Italiana

Since 1980, Marcello’s Cucina Italiana has dished a mix of modern and traditional Italian dishes—usually with a regional twist—at the edge of Sunriver. That means you might see pan-seared salmon on the menu of nightly specials or penne carbonara tossed with seasonal mushrooms. Lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti, pizza, and other classic items round out the menu; it all pairs well with an extensive wine list.

Campfire Cucina & Pizzeria

New to the village in 2026, Campfire Cucina & Pizzeria chefs-up delicious pizzas, pastas, salads and more. They’ve also got a great happy hour daily from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. If you’re looking for a cozy night in at your vacation rental with your family, Campfire Cucina also offers takeout orders through their website.
