Leah Wilson lives in Eugene Oregon and makes paintings and installations that are place-based records of changes that occur within environmental ecosystems over time. Her process-oriented work frequently uses or interprets scientific data or the results of observation. The majority of work in this exhibition has focused on the H.J. Andrews Research Forest, a 16,000-acre ecological research site in Oregon’s Western Cascades Mountains administered cooperatively by the U.S. Forest Service. Exhibit on view through January 4, 2020.
Jesse Cook will be playing at The Tower Theater on November 19th at 8pm. Cook is an award winning Master Guitarist known for his “intoxicating fusion of world music”. He likes to create “A place where modern sounds can mix with ancient timbres.” Performance starts at 8:00pm.

The Oregon Observatory invites you to experience the best sightseeing in Sunriver! Feast your eyes on faraway galaxies. Witness a meteor shower. Get a glimpse of globular clusters, nebulae and deep space binary stars, as well as our closest star, the Sun. There’s no better place than the Oregon Observatory at Sunriver.
Whether you are an accomplished amateur astronomer or a first timer, you will be amazed by the views. The Observatory is open Friday and Saturday nights in the winter, weather permitting.

Live Laugh Love Art in the Village at Sunriver is conducting Santa’s Little Helper Workshops in November and December. This KIDS ONLY event allows the little guys to choose a special holiday gift to create for mom, dad or a loved one…The in-studio Elf Team will be on hand with all the materials to help create these masterpieces. Event includes a holiday snack. All gifts will be ready to pick up the next day. Each workshop is limited to 12 kids ages 5-12.
Enjoy the sounds of legendary R&B recording artists “The Spinners” . Led by original member Henry Fambrough, they bring all their hits to Bend for an evening of smooth nostalgia. Best known as a Motown recording act, the classic group sound of The Spinners has never lost its universal appeal. Throughout the years they have sold millions of records and topped both the Pop and R&B charts with smash hits like “I’ll Be Around” , “Then Came You”, “Working My Way Back To You”. Inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999, they have also been awarded the Rhythm and Blues Foundation Award for their contribution to the genre. The group has performed for presidents, received a star on the Hollywood “Walk of Fame,” and has appeared in numerous network and cable television specials paying tribute to the music of the 70’s. The 20th Annual Holiday Food & Gift Festival returns to Redmond November 22-24 at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center.
