A.M. Interstate emerged in the mid-2000s, shaped by a moment when indie music thrived on long drives, burned CDs, and word-of-mouth shows. Anchored by brothers Cy Erickson and Seth Erickson, signed to Turquoise Mountain Records of New York then later Poison Tree Records of Santa Monica, the band became part of the era’s club/bar touring circuit, the indie red dirt circuit if you will, performing at SXSW, CMJ Music Fest both in 2006 then at Intl Pop Overthrow in 2009, 2010, and 2011. From 2006 to 2016 A.M. Interstate toured the United States, British Columbia Canada, and the UK. A.M. Interstate's music is defined as Rock n Roll, like with all great rock n roll, their sound travels from and through traditional country, hard driving rock n blues, indie alternative soundscapes, classic rock, soaring cosmic psychedelia, and alternative Americana folk. Bringing such artists to mind as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Gram Parsons, Waylon Jennings, and Led Zeppelin.
