There’s something deeply grounding about shaping clay with your hands. In this two-part workshop, you’ll create a unique, personal altar that honors your inner world, your experiences, and the people or moments that matter most to you.
Altars offer a sacred space for reflection, remembrance, gratitude, and intention. Whether honoring yourself, a life transition, or a loved one, your finished piece becomes a meaningful anchor in your life.
Part One on 8/1/26: Building with Intention
In the first session, you will handbuild your altar from clay. You’ll be guided through the process while having plenty of time for intuitive creation. Bring small meaningful items to imprint if you’d like. Natural elements, lace, stamps, and tools will also be provided.
Part Two on 8/15/26: Glazing & Finishing
Two weeks later (after drying and bisque firing), you’ll return to glaze, paint, and complete your piece. I will then apply a clear glaze (if desired) and do the final firing.
