"Dear Brutus"

Local teacher and published poet Matthew Friday (from the UK) will introduce the audience to one of Shakespeare’s most performed plays: Julius Caesar. The workshop will begin with an overview of the world of the play, including fascinating facts about its creation. Then the audience will be led through an exploration of the story of the play using a condensed plot summary. Throughout the presentation, there will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion. By the end of the presentation, audience members will understand the play’s story, the motivation of the key characters and the key themes.
