Trail runners from across the Pacific Northwest will gather in Central Oregon this summer for one of the region’s most scenic and challenging races, as the Haulin’ Aspen Trail Run returns on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Hosted by Bend Races, the event features a full marathon, half marathon, and 6.5-mile course (“Half As”), all set entirely on dirt trails winding through the Deschutes National Forest.
Starting and finishing at Wanoga Sno-Park at approximately 5,500 feet in elevation, the courses take runners through a mix of singletrack and forest service roads, with sweeping mountain views, shaded pine forests, and varied terrain that offers both beauty and challenge.
Runners can expect elevation changes across all distances, with the marathon course featuring a notable 700-foot climb in the final miles.
All participants will receive a finisher’s medal, with optional race apparel available during registration.
The event also includes a post-race celebration featuring food, beverages, music, and local vendors—giving runners a chance to relax and connect after a morning on the trails.
Packet pickup will take place on Friday, August 7 in downtown Bend at FootZone, with limited race-day pickup available.
