Elk Lake Resort is inviting guests to trade the traditional Thanksgiving at home for a memorable holiday meal in the heart of the Cascade Mountains on Thursday, November 26, 2026.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of Elk Lake and the Cascades, Thanksgiving at Elk Lake offers families and friends an opportunity to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a holiday meal without the cooking and cleanup.
The resort will offer two Thanksgiving dinner seatings:
12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The 3:00 p.m. seating is already sold out for large groups, and reservations are encouraged as space is limited.
Pricing
Adults: $79 per person
Children ages 3–12: $39 per person
Getting to Elk Lake is part of the experience. Historically, snowfall around Thanksgiving has allowed guests to access the resort in their own four-wheel-drive vehicles. Because the Cascade Lakes Highway gate will be closed, Elk Lake Resort staff will meet Thanksgiving guests at Dutchman’s Gate and escort them to the resort.
Mountain weather, however, can change quickly. If snowfall makes the road impassable for personal vehicles, snowcat transportation will be available for an additional charge.
Snowcat capacity is limited. Transportation will be available to the first 20 guests who request and reserve snowcat transportation.
Thanksgiving at Elk Lake combines a traditional holiday gathering with a setting that is uniquely Central Oregon — good food, good company, mountain scenery, and the chance to spend Thanksgiving away from the crowds and surrounded by the Cascades.
