Happy 100th Tony Bennett featuring Jim Tennant

Date March 11, 2027
Time 7:30 PM

Three standout jazz artists, one unforgettable night. Acclaimed trumpeter and vocalist Joe Gransden and award-winning vocalist Karla Harris join forces with Bend’s own Jim Tennant for an evening of sophisticated, soulful jazz.

Gransden brings the timeless cool of a classic crooner together with masterful trumpet playing, earning comparisons to Frank Sinatra and Miles Davis. A recipient of the Jazz Journalists Association’s Jazz Hero Award, he’s known for his effortless vocals, expressive horn work, and magnetic stage presence. As Clint Eastwood put it, “Joe is a young man with an old soul and a classic voice… And don’t forget, he plays a hell of a trumpet!”

Karla Harris is a JazzWeek charting artist and 2025 Jazz Hero Award recipient whose commanding vocals move seamlessly through straight-ahead jazz, R&B, Latin, and pop. From national jazz festivals and a prestigious Jazz Road tour to TEDx and university residencies, Harris brings elegance, authenticity, and undeniable energy to every performance.

Adding a special hometown connection is Bend favorite Jim Tennant, bringing his own artistry to this powerhouse collaboration. Together, Gransden, Harris, and Tennant deliver a night rooted in classic jazz but alive with personality, spontaneity, and serious musicianship.
