Let's Dance! A Community Social Dance with Outlaw Strings

Get out your fancy duds, it’s time for another ol’ fashioned community social dance!

Back in the day, community dances were a major hub for social connection. They were where you went to let loose after a long week, catch up on town gossip, scout out a love interest, and build stronger ties with your neighbors.

We think there’s still value in this type of “IRL” community gathering. Plus, they’re a LOT of fun! So we’re partnering with SFF Presents to host our FOURTH community social dance right here in Sisters.

Join C4C and SFF Presents on Friday, November 6th for a night of social dance and fiddling tunes!

Hosted at The Belfry, this family-friendly event will feature live fiddling and dance calling by Scandalous Chutney, your favorite local youth strings dance band. We’ll start with 15 minutes of instruction (What’s a “do-si-do”? What’s a “promenade?”) before the tunes start ripping and the feet start flying. The event is free, but donations will be accepted at the door (suggested contribution: $10/adult, $5/child). Drinks, snacks, and fantastic merch will all be available for purchase.
