The Winter Lantern

Celebrate the season with the Cascade Chorale’s “Holiday Magic: "The Winter Lantern-- Legend of Caerwyn,” brought to life by Central Oregon’s premier community chorus.  For 22 years, Holiday Magic has marked the beginning of the holiday season in Central Oregon, becoming a cherished Bend tradition that brings families, friends, and visitors together. A Cascade Chorale Association production, it has long been the signal that the season has truly begun.

Now, from that tradition comes something entirely new. The world premiere of a new work by Bend’s own composer and director, James W. Knox. The Winter Lantern: Legend of Caerwyn is a Celtic inspired theatrical experience that weaves familiar carols with original music, Irish dance, soloists, and a fully stagedproduction designed to transport audiences into a world of myth and memory. A story of light in the darkness. A journey into something ancient, and something newly born. Holiday Magic continues, but this year it begins a new chapter.
