About Barnes Butte Recreational Area

The area preserves unique geologic features, native vegetation and wildlife, and provides for public appreciation, education and recreation. Barnes Butte is BLM and City owned land in Prineville with a mix of rocky single track trails, paved trails and graveled or dirt footpaths.
