Cascade Guides & Outfitters provides the highest level of guiding services in Central Oregon with over 30 years fishing local waters. Our shop is a full line fishing equipment and outdoor clothing dealer. We can insure our guest that we have met the most rigorous standards in the fly fishing industry. We are license holders for both the National Forest Service and BLM lands. With our extensive licensing we are legally permitted to guide more waters than any other guide service in Central Oregon. This includes Crane Prairie Reservior, Hosmer, East , Lava, Little Lava, Billy Chinook, Paulina, Wickiup, & Davis Lakes along with Deschutes, Crooked and Fall rivers. Staffed with a select group of professional guides who understand their responsibility they will provide you with an experience that is educational and enjoyable. You will find our services superior to and competitive with other non-endorsed guides. We offers half day, full day, and multi-day trips on the many rivers and lakes in the Central Oregon area along with a selection of fly fishing schools and accommodations. Considered one of the most unique trips available anywhere, our Classic Float trip utilizes wooden drift boats, bamboo rods, antique reels and silk style lines. We offer a Fly Fishing “101” School – for both half day or full day excursion and our instructors will escort you to the river and assist you in “wadering up” proper assembly of your fly rod, rigging your fly rod with line, leader, tippet, split shot, indicator and flies. They will also instruct on safe wading techniques, entomology, reading water, stream etiquette, practical and proper casting techniques, line management, fly selection and most importantly how to relax and enjoy your fly fishing experience. After successful completion, our students are prepared to go out and fish on their own or hire one of our professional guides for more personal instruction.
Being in business for over 30 years in Sunriver, we can insure our guest that we meet the most rigorous standards in the fly fishing industry and use top of the line equipment. We offer three standard classes a special summer casting intro class:
(1) Flyfishing 101 – our entry level class for all ages, recommended for those that have at least one fly fishing experience and wish to learn more of the basics.
(2) Float Tubing – new adventures for those that haven’t been ” one with the water”
(3) Advanced – for those with moderate to extensive fly fishing experience and wish to hone their skills or try new waters.
(4) Introductory fly casting -Offered in the summer -basic casting technique -fun for the whole family -1.5 hours
