About Central Oregon Symphony
The Central Oregon Symphony is a regional orchestra whose concerts are available to the musically curious free of charge. The Central Oregon Symphony is proudly supported by Central Oregon Community College, the Central Oregon Symphony Association and a legion of generous donors.
Central Oregon Symphony Association has partnered with Crook County and Deschutes County Libraries to present Music In Public Places events throughout our season! The series includes performances in LaPine, Prineville, Redmond, Sisters libraries along with Symphony Spotlight recitals at Wille Hall in the Coats Campus Center, COCC Bend. The concerts will happen simultaneously at various locations throughout Central Oregon.
Music In Public Places is a program that highlights our Central Oregon Symphony musicians. Most groups perform classical chamber music concerts in public venues throughout Central Oregon. Concerts are open to the public and tickets are not required. Audience members may leave at any time, children are welcome to attend, and we expect there to be ambient noises in the background. These concerts are made possible thanks to our generous donors and a grant from the Deschutes Cultural Coalition.
Ways to Support
The Central Oregon Symphony Association education programs and chamber music events would not be possible without the generous support of individuals, businesses, organizations, and foundations. There are many ways to support your local symphony orchestra. Each opportunity offers its own experiences and rewards.
Annual Individual Donations from community members who love the arts and show their support through their gifts to the Symphony. We proudly display their names in our concert series programs.
Endowment Contributions through COCC Foundation are set aside and invested, with a portion of the income used to support the Symphony’s operations each year.
Matching Gifts double your gifts! Contact your employer to find out if your company matches gifts.
Planned Giving provides support through a bequest, charitable gift annuity, or trust arrangement. Remembering the Symphony through a bequest in your will or with a trust or annuity will assure an unparalleled musical experience for generations to come.
Sponsorships give local businesses exposure to audiences of music lovers. There are a variety of sponsorship opportunities within the Central Oregon Symphony concert season and special events.
Tribute Gift is a wonderful way to celebrate a milestone like a birthday, anniversary, or recognize accomplishments like graduations. It can also honor the memory of a dear friend or relative. Tribute gifts are listed in our programs.
Volunteer Opportunities abound with our Symphony including ushering at concerts, helping with our Beat Beethoven 5K run/walk, and serving on a COSA board committee.
