Weigand Family Off-Leash Dog Park in Dry Canyon

Let Fido run free at Weigand Family Dog Park, a grassy green space just west of downtown Redmond.

The fenced-in dog park in Redmond, Oregon, has separate off-leash play areas for small and large dogs, with wading pools and a water fountain to keep them cool. A few chairs invite dog owners to relax, while a handful of trees and small structures provide shade on warm afternoons.

Weigand Family Dog Park also sits at the southern terminus of the Dry Canyon Trail, a gently sloping path that totals about 3.5 miles (round-trip) while running parallel to a rocky gorge in the heart of Redmond. Leashed dogs are allowed on the trail if your pooch needs a bit more exercise after running free in the park.

The Doghouse Brewyard

Leave it up to a Central Oregon entrepreneur to update the tried-and-true dog park concept for a new generation of dog owners. The Doghouse Brewyard opened in 2023 and—in addition to a fenced-in, off-leash play area—the Redmond, Oregon, dog park hosts a rotating lineup of food trucks and an on-site bar that pours regional craft beers, ciders, nitro coffee and other non-alcohol drinks; community events and occasional performances round out the fun. Taken together, it’s less of a dog park than a social club for furry friends (and their family members) from all walks of life.

Note that the Doghouse Brewyard is open on a membership basis; day passes are available for $5, as are monthly memberships (which run $25 for the first dog and $10 per additional dog) and annual memberships (which cost $225 for the first dog and $49 per additional dog). All dogs must be spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations.
