Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Aaron Jenkins for a bird walk at Willow Springs Preserve. Search for dippers and other water birds along Whychus Creek and warblers working the willows. Then, watch for woodpeckers in the Preserve’s cottonwood and aspen stands and raptors soaring above the meadow. Find birds through sight and sound and learn about recent restoration work at the Preserve. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
Hike Rating: This is a moderate 1-2 mile hike on old roads and through grassy meadows. Route: This hike will start at the Willow Springs Preserve entrance and follow dirt access roads. We will also venture off-trail into the meadow. Terrain will be uneven at times.
