Climate Change 20/20

OLLI-UO in Central Oregon presents The Urgency of Climate Change: Moving Towards a Green New World.  This presentation will offer an overview of the science underpinning what we know about climate change, beginning with discussion of the greenhouse effect and carbon cycling, and then examining current and likely future impacts. These include sea level rise, loss of biodiversity, increasing extreme weather events, and effects on human health and the economy. Following this, we will look at some effective policy responses, including forest and land management, renewable energy solutions, and carbon pricing.
