ONDA presents this hiking opportunity – Smith Rock Revealed.  On Friday, May 10th, join former Oregon State Park interpretive ranger, OSU Master Naturalist and ONDA member David Vick for an in-depth look at Smith Rock State Park’s rich cultural and natural history. In addition to viewing nesting raptors, the hike will emphasize native plants and their traditional uses as well as the dramatic geological events that shaped the park as we know it today.

Difficulty: Moderate – about 2.5 miles up the Wolf Tree Trail (5 miles round trip). The hike is steep and rocky in places, with moderate elevation gain coming back out of the canyon. Some hikers find the use of poles or walking sticks useful for balancing on steeper sections of the trail.

Space is limited so register online.  Lunch is included, thanks to Jackson’s Corner!
