Parrell 44 Presents the High Energy Funk/Soul sounds of Norcal’s Diggin Dirt.  This awesome young band recently won the 2018 High Sierra Music Festival band contest and they absolutely crushed their set there.  Bend’s own Funk/Soul orchestra Company Grand will be kicking off the show.  Advance tickets for this Funk throw down are $12 ($15 door).  Doors open at 8:30pm and Company Grand kicks off the show at 9pm.  All ages are welcome.

Diggin Dirt is reminiscent of James Brown, and Sly and the Family Stone.  They are very well known around Humboldt County and the Pacific Northwest for uniquely blending together their influences that range from funk to blues to reggae to psychedelic-rock, to make something that is all together new and old sounding, in the best way possible. Diggin Dirt is an eight piece band with tight horns and an even tighter rhythm section and they never fail to keep the dance floor moving all night long.

Company Grand was started in the Summer of 2014 b Lucas James and Riley Winslow.  These two provide exciting and eccentric song writing and electrifying musicianship and keyboard and guitar, respectively.  The rhythm section is rounded out by three exceptional musicians playing the Bass, Drums and Keys and Drums and Percussion.  All three studied music at universities across the country and combine their diverse musical backgrounds to create the most exciting dance grooves you’ll hear.  The horn section is comprised of three musicians playing the Trumpet, Trombone and Sax and Flute. Again, all three are university trained and have played in orchestras and band for decades.  The combination of all of these talented and diverse musicians come together to create the unforgettable experience that is Company Grand.
