Follow in the multicultural footsteps of those who came before us and celebrate Oregon State Park’s Day at The Cove.  For more than 8,000 years many different people have visited (a few even inhabited) the Crooked River and Deschutes River Canyons of Central Oregon and communities nearby.  Water brought people to the region, whether they hunted, trapped, fished, gathered, bred, herded, or grew, the one common thing we’ve all come here for is food.  This pre-harvest event looks at foods that drew First People, Homesteaders, Ranchers, and Farmers; as well as what continues to draw us to Lake Billy Chinook and the rivers today.  Don’t miss this fun, family friendly, event.
