Much of the media coverage on global events today focuses on what divides us. Increasingly the rhetoric has become one of exclusion and protectionism. By focusing on a case study of neighborhood activists in Berlin, Germany, this talk will explore ways in which we can bridge differences by coming together to share meals. We will explore ways in which food can be used to build community while celebrating diversity.  The presentation will take at Central Oregon Community College (COCC) Wille Hall, Coats Campus Center, COCC Bend
