Geology of Central Oregon Series

UO Bend Center invites you to the their continuing education winter series which explores the Geology of Central Oregon.  The series consists of a lecture on Friday night at the UO Bend Center, followed by a Saturday field trip.  Dr. Daniele McKay will lead this program.  She is the adjunct instructor in the Dept. of Earth Sciences at the U of O.  “Living on Volcanoes” will explore volcanic hazards and how volcanoes are monitored for signs of activity in Central Oregon and the risks and benefits of living among active volcanoes.  The field trip will focus on volcanic deposits within the city of Bend and nearby areas.
