The Vineyard is excited to present CJ Neary & Evan Mullins for a very special concert!
If you don't the story, CJ was recognized as a musical prodigy at a young age. He launched his professional career with multiple national titles in fiddle and jazz music (category 18 & under), a Grand Ole’ Opry Performance, several TED talk/performances, a commercial, and sitting in with some of the biggest musical heavy weights in the nation. Now with his first album out, CJ continues performing all over the country, while going to school.
Playing and singing many of his original songs and also exploring R&B, Funk, Jazz, Rock and Blues, CJ will be joined by another CO treasure, Evan Mullins on piano and vocals. There music is influenced by musicians across the board from Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Kool & the Gang, Tony Bennet, Louis Armstrong, Vassar Clements, Jimmy Martin and Del McCoury. CJ says "I have such eclectic tastes in music, I don't like to label myself as one "particular" genre. My favorite music is jazz/funk, I love playing with bluegrass bands and singing, I have a lot of Americana type songs I have been writing but have also been getting really into hip hop and creating beats to fuse with my instruments/singing."
