Join us on a search for wild and edible mushrooms led by the Central Oregon Mushroom Club. On this field trip you’ll receive an introduction to fungi diversity and learn how to identify different types of mushrooms in the forest. You’ll also learn how to identify proper habitats and collect mushrooms.
A free Forest Products Free Use Permit from the U.S. Forest Service office in Bend is needed to collect mushrooms. Please bring this document with you on the field trip. To get your permit, contact Bend Fort Rock Ranger District via phone, email, or in-person. You will need to provide your full name, mailing address, and driver’s license or state ID number.
