Natural History Pub

High Desert Museum presents the Natural History Pub at McMenamins.  This month’s topic is:  “About Water Management By The Confederated Tribes of The Umatilla Indian Reservation”.  This is a free event and doors open at 5:30, program starts at 7:00pm.  Enjoy food and libations while learning from experts in their respective fields.  Director of Natural Resources for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation Eric Quaempts will discuss a unique water management approach informed the concept of reciprocity and by water being a First Food, a culturally significant food that is honored and offered first in ceremonial feasts
