OSU Science Pub

OSU’s Science Pub allows you to meet some of their leading researches in various fields.  Science Pub is hosted at McMenamins Father Luke’s Room.  Relax, eat, drink and learn.  On October 16th the topic will be Future Farms:  Technology in the Field .  OSU researcher Chad Higgins will share the potential of cutting-edge technology solutions in farming.  Did you know that drones can record light reflected from plant leaves to assess stress in plants?   The work underway in Higgins’ NEWAg Lab could help farmers fine-tune planting and irrigation schedules and increase efficiency in the agricultural industry.  Doors open at 5:30, presentation begins at 6:30.
