Head for the hills!  Painted Hills Festival will be in Mitchell, OR just minutes from the Painted Hills! Come run the 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon, watch the Grand Parade, enjoy the craft and food vendors in the city park, attend the Quilt & Art Show, cheer on those in the Water Trough Races, or bid on a delicious homemade pie in the Pie Auction! There’s fun to be had by all!   The Grand Parade starts around 11:30pm, going right down Main Street starting at the east end of town and making the Mitchell Business Loop.The Quilt & Art Show is held in the Community Hall. The show starts at 10:00am and goes until 4:00pm.

The city park will have a variety of vendors, selling anything from local raised honey to handmade goods to authentic Mexican food. The park is also where you’ll find the pie auction, live music, and kids games.

The Water Trough Races are held in front of the Wheeler County Store.
