Post Turkey Day Hike

Ready to hike off all that turkey and pie? Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Mary Crow for a hike to explore Whychus Canyon Preserve. We’ll follow the trail through juniper forests, enjoying the crisp, cool temperatures of late fall. Look for wildlife tracks–including turkeys!, watch for birds, and learn more about how nature prepares for winter. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.

Hike Rating: This is a moderate 3-4 mile hike on the Whychus Canyon Preserve hiking trails.

Route: This hike will start at the Whychus Canyon Preserve kiosk and follow trails partway down into the Whychus Creek canyon. Terrain will be uneven at times.
