Find solace in nature and recharge, rest, and reconnect with fellow queer folx. This mini forest bathing experience includes a guided sensory meditation, a nature connection invitation to reduce stress and anxiety, and a community circle for sharing and listening in a non-judgmental space. Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which translates to “forest bath” and just means to take in the atmosphere of the forest through our senses (leave your swimsuit at home...no literal bathing required!). It is a practice of spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness, and happiness and remembering our connection to nature and each other. Decades of studies have discovered a wide range of health benefits associated with this practice, including stress relief, better sleep, lowered blood pressure and inflammation, and improved immunity.
