Here’s a memory you’ll never forget. Join the Oregon Rocketry group out on the high desert for Rocketober weekend (Oct 12-14). Watch rocket enthusiasts launch apprx. 100 flights during the weekend. You will see every imaginable rocket from 10 inches to 10 feet soaring through the desert sky. Range for these rockets can be 500 to 20,000 feet !! They are recovered by parachutes that are electronically controlled. These rockets are certified with the FAA and operate within guidelines so they can’t cause fires. Launches are held with safety first. This event takes place about 2 miles west of Brothers which is 40 minutes southeast of Bend. Check out the Oregon Rocketry website for directions and more info.
