Spirits of Camp Polk Meadow

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Kelly Madden for a twilight visit with the spirits of Camp Polk Meadow Preserve. Learn about this culturally rich meadow, home to one of the earliest settlements in Central Oregon, while listening to the stories of the ghosts who once lived in the area. Enjoy the brilliance of fall foliage as you take in the golden aspens and cottonwoods. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.

Hike Rating: This is an easy ~1 mile walk on a gravel trail and roads.

Route: This hike will start at the Camp Polk Meadow Preserve kiosk and follow the gravel trail around Hindman Springs. Terrain will be uneven at times.

Elevation gain/loss: There is very little elevation gain/loss on this hike.
