Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Mark Reed for a fall hike to explore the trees of the Metolius Preserve. Soak in the golden fall colors of Western larch and bracken fern, as you learn about the diverse suite of trees and shrubs that grow in this fascinating part of Central Oregon. The Metolius region boasts a unique combination of wetter plants and trees from the west side of the Cascades along with the drier eastern Cascade vegetation. We will explore all that it has to offer while learning about the myriad of ways the forest has been used over the years. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
