VertFest is an uphill ski/splitboard race that is equal parts challenging and fun. Participants will include everything from the superhuman SkiMo racers (man those guys/gals are fast) to recreational backcountry enthusiasts out in costume.
There is a category for all to participate in, whether it be youth, recreational, elite, or you first-timers! All race participants will receive a neck warmer thanks to our friends at BlackStrap.
This is a celebration of the backcountry community and winter tribe. Slog it out with some friends, don your most insane costume (highly encouraged), work off those winter beers, or just come CELEBRATE!!!

Sunday, Feb 4, 2024:
8:00 a.m. Vendor Village opens and racer check-in
9:30 a.m. Racer meeting
10:00 a.m. Race start
09:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Morning clinics
1:00 p.m. Last racers cleared from course
1:30 p.m. Award ceremony
2:00 p.m. Vendor Village closes
