Dr. Thor Hanson, author of Hurricane Lizards and Plastic Squid and The Triumph of Seeds, will speak about his research and writing on species adaptations. Rena Priest is the author Northwest Know-How: Beaches. Her tribe is Lummi. the 2023 Waterson Guest Judge, will award this year’s Prize winner. Anna Welch, winner of the 2023 Prize, will read from her submission, “Momentum: a trans-continental bicycle journey.”
