We have been running rafting trips on Big Eddy since 1977. Our guides are focused on balancing safety and fun with a few, dry, sarcastic jokes dropped for good measure. As the 3rd oldest brewery in Bend, Oregon, Silver Moon Brewing is award-winning for its pilsner, stout, lager, porter, and various specialty releases. The legacy of Silver Moon is exciting, filled with multiple stories of expansion along with its rich history and long list of talented brewers. First and foremost, our Greenwood Avenue location has served multiple uses in the town of Bend. 24 NW Greenwood was originally built in 1942 as the Greenwood Furniture Company with its large show room windows showing the latest in luxury. In 1960 it was expanded to become an automotive parts machine shop. Its long design allowed the building to be perfectly suited for a brewery environment allowing seamless flow from the brew-house to fermentation followed by conditioning, packaging, storage in our rear cooler and eventually shipping out the back garage door. The front of the building houses Silver Moon’s taproom, offering quality craft beers, food and live music on weekends. While spending time in the tap room and enjoying a fine brew, you will hear stories remembering the “Home Brewer”, Silver Moon’s original name and game. The taproom slowly expanded to what it is today, but originally was Bend’s only home brew supply shop; allowing for the great expansion of craft beer in Central Oregon. With equipment and supplies on one side and tap room on the other, Silver Moon grew to be Bend’s true locals brewery. With a close sense of community and giving back to our supporters we strive to keep these fundamentals close to our hearts.

Silvies Valley Ranch Chief Egan golf course is a classic 9-hole par-3 course with water on every hole. Named for Chief Egan, the last War Chief of the Paiute Tribe who engaged the U.S. Calvary in 1882. This location on Paiute Creek is the closest place to Egan’s last camp during the conflict. Most agree that he and the Calvary would have been better off here, sipping a Silvies Valley Horseshoe Nail and making friends of adversaries, as we invite you to do today. In alignment with our environmental sustainability ethic, the Chief Egan course is completely off the electrical grid, powered by roof-mounted solar panels; water is gravity-fed from Paiute Spring, about a mile northwest of the course. Please enjoy what Chief Egan and the U.S. Calvary were never able to.
