About Club Pioneer

PRINEVILLE’S PREFERRED WATERING HOLE
The Saloon at Club Pioneer is a favorite watering hole. Wally and his team mix up great hand crafted cocktails and feature a wide selection of ice-cold local Craft Beer. Whether your in the mood for Steak Bites & Honey Mustard or Sautéed Mushrooms & Garlic Bread, or our Prime Rib & Mushroom Quesadilla, Club Pioneer’s Happy Hour features items like these to accompany our handcrafted cocktails and local craft beers on tap! Pull up a stool and stay a while!
The building dates back to WWII, but inside it’s all about the cowboy tradition, logging, great food and making memories with friends and family.

Club Pioneer is more than another restaurant in Prineville – it’s a Prineville Tradition! Established in 1942, people have been coming to the Club Pioneer for decades. What started as a rough and tumble saloon with a brawl most weekends, Club Pioneer today is a restaurant for any occasion. Whether just gathering with friends or family or celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and other important milestones in life.

The interior celebrates the Central Oregon logging history with live edge juniper doors and woodwork throughout – all cut and milled locally and installed by local craftsmen. Prints of “old Prineville” are throughout the restaurant and give a sense of history of this establishment. In the Saloon a painting still hangs with a hole in it. Local legend is that a man came into the Saloon and shot a bow and arrow through the crowd who were dancing (yes, there was dancing back in the day). The arrow missed hitting any of the guests but ended up in the painting hanging behind the band.

While things are a bit calmer these days, there is still a sense of being in a place where locals love to gather. Even if you’re not a Prine-Villian, our staff will make you feel right at home while you enjoy one of our hand-crafted cowboy cocktails, local craft beer or locally cut steaks from Oregon Beef.

In 2009 Jim Roths came to Club Pioneer. After a couple of years he “fell into the soul” of this community and he and his wife, Donna, purchased the Club Pioneer and another local establishment, Dillon’s Grill. While honoring the past and the traditions of Club Pioneer, our food is straight forward and made from the highest quality ingredients. Club Pioneer is known for our steaks and for our seafood. Steaks are cut specifically for Club Pioneer by Oregon Beef. Our prime rib, offered nightly, is the RR Ranch Prime Rib. We’re open for lunch Monday – Friday opening at 11am. Dinner is served 7 days a week starting at 4pm. On Sunday we offer a Sunday Brunch that’s become quite popular among our local guests. Club Pioneer offers reservations (recommended) and can accommodate semi-private parties up to 40 inside the restaurant. We also offer full-service catering.
Join us and make yourself part of the tradition called Club Pioneer. We hope to see you soon.
