Central Oregon’s oldest community also happens to have its pulse on the high tech needs of the future. Prineville, while maintaining its small-town cowboy charm, is quickly becoming a hot spot, so to speak, for some of the tech industry’s biggest names like Facebook and Apple which have recently set up shop there. The town is experiencing a renaissance with more places to dine, a new brewpub and choice lodging.

Nestled at the foot of the Ochocos, Prineville and Crook County both offer a host outdoor activities including two of the most popular golf courses in the entire region. The area also serves as the starting point for fishing trips along the Crooked River or the Prineville and Ochoco Reservoirs.
