About River’s Edge Golf Club

A Golf Digest “Best Places to Play” and voted “Favorite Golf Course” in Central Oregon Magazine, River’s Edge Golf Course offers some of the most scenic golf holes in Central Oregon. Open year round and centrally located just off highway 97 in the heart of Bend, River’s Edge is close to it all. Come see for yourself why River’s Edge is one of the best golf courses in Central Oregon.

Spectacular scenery abounds with this par-72 course from the majestic Deschutes River to stunning views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson. The signature hole, the par-4 6th, features an approach shot to an elevated green fronted by a pond and 25-foot waterfall.

The par-3 16th is also a treat, measuring 216 yards from the back tees with the green 300 feet below. Four sets of tees make this course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The greens are rolled consistently to insure they are smooth and true. If you are looking for gorgeous views and a fun and challenging course, River’s Edge is a must play.

The course offers a full service pro-shop, driving range and putting green. Golf Boards are also available for a little more adventure.

Architect: Robert Muir Graves

River’s Edge Golf Course was designed in two phases beginning in 1987 by the late Robert Muir Graves, whose portfolio also included Big Meadow at Black Butte Ranch.

Graves, who also worked extensively in Hawaii and California, was intrigued by the lava rock and the dramatic geology around the Deschutes River  and incorporated many of those elements into the design, choosing to build the course into the landscape rather than around it.

At River’s Edge, each hole is unique and different with just the right amount of bunkers, water and dog legs to keep you challenged . River’s Edge remains one of the most scenic and unique courses in Central Oregon. It is the perfect combination of shotmaking and scenery.
