About Sisters Folk Festival
Sisters Folk Festival is a year-round nonprofit organization that strengthens community and transforms lives through music and art. Its largest annual event is the Sisters Folk Festival, a three-day celebration of roots music from blues to bluegrass, held each fall in beautiful Sisters, Oregon. Other annual events include the My Own Two Hands community arts celebration, year-round concerts, Americana Song Academy, summer creativity camps, and various classes and workshops.
Many greats have shared their talents since the initial Sisters Folk Festival in 1995, including but not limited to:
Ian Tyson, Natalie MacMaster, Jesse Winchester, Chris Smither, Dave Carter, John Gorka, Cheryl Wheeler, Ruthie Foster, The Subdudes, The Waifs, Tim O’Brien, The Wailin’ Jennys, Jon Cleary, Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, Lake Street Dive, Anais Mitchell, Shakey Graves, Eric Bibb, Richard Thompson, Shawn Mullins, and many more.
The festival features eleven stages all around the charming town, including an 1100-seat venue at the Village Green Park in downtown Sisters, and 1400 seats at Sisters Art Works.
Located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range and the Three Sisters Wilderness Area, the community of Sisters is a wonderful place to live and visit. Outdoor recreational opportunities in and around Sisters are endless, with mountains, rivers, and lakes at your back door. Bike or ride horseback on the many beautiful mountain trails, or golf at any number of first-rate courses. Gift, home & garden, clothing, and antique shops abound for the shopper in your group, or just relax and enjoy the clean air and incredible mountain views. There is truly something for everyone in Sisters. Parking (including handicap-accessible parking) is available near all the venues.
Seating in all venues is provided. There is no need to bring your own chairs. During the festival food & drink are available at the Village Green and Sisters Art Works, as well as most of our other venues. Many of our venues are restaurants and festival-goers are welcome to bring their food (either purchased from one of our food vendors or from home) into the tented venues at Oliver Lemon’s Market, Village Green, and Sisters Art Works. Beer and wine must remain in designated areas. There are also many great restaurants along the walking routes between stages. Only certified ADA assistance animals are permitted in venues.
