Sunriver is the Pacific Northwest’s premier destination resort and residential community with over 3,300 acres of forest and meadows which are bordered by the Deschutes River and scenic public lands. Sunriver contains over 35 miles of paved roads designed exclusively for bicycles and pedestrians. In the summer, The Deschutes River offers canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding from the resort’s private marina. In the winter, Sunriver is one of the closet communities to Mt. Bachelor, where you can enjoy world class skiing or snowboarding. There are also miles of public lands available for snowmobiling, cross country skiing or snowshoeing. For the golfers in the family, there are 4 championship golf courses.
In town, the new Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center (SHARC) features a leisure pool, two slides, a lazy river and splash pads. Indoors, the center offers a fitness center, swimming pool and serves as a community center for events and social functions.
The Village at Sunriver is the retail hub of the community. The Village contains over 50 stores and restaurants and the large courtyard and skating rink hoists many community events through out the year. Sunriver also has its own nature center and its crystal clear sky’s make it the perfect home for the Oregon Observatory. In addition, Sunriver has its own airport, horse stables and river marina.
