Sunriver Bike Paths

Pedal power reigns supreme around the community of Sunriver, where 34 miles of paved pathways provide easy access for cyclists and pedestrians to some of the area’s top sites. Most of those pathways are set back from the road, making it easy for riders of all stripes to safely navigate Sunriver while enjoying its many sites and attractions.

If you didn’t bring your bike, rentals are available at Sunriver Resort’s Bike Barn—open mid-May to mid-October. Vacation rentals also usually come with loaner cruiser bikes, as well. Be sure to bring helmets, since all riders 15 and younger are required to wear one.

Once you’re ready to hit the road, you’ll have plenty of fun routes to choose from. Paved paths head to the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory, where you can learn about the plants and animals of Central Oregon; Century Commons Taps & Trucks, which hosts a handful of food carts and a taphouse that pours local beer, wine, cider, and kombucha; and The Village at Sunriver shopping center—home to locally owned outfitters, boutiques, and restaurants.

In summer, the Sunriver Bike Patrol rides the paved paths between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily to help riders have the best possible experience. Flag a patrol member down if you have concerns or questions while riding—like tracking down a lost personal item or navigating the network of bike paths.
